Track your bag, claims, and compensation
Declare missing baggage
We offer 2 options to declare missing baggage, depending on your arrival airport : online within 48 hours after arrival or at the AIR FRANCE KLM baggage office before leaving the airport.
You can declare a missing baggage item by filling out the form below, or via the Air France app within 48 hours of your flight's arrival. To do so, please locate your baggage receipt. Where can you find my baggage receipt? - If you checked in at the airport, your receipt was given to you by one of our agents at the drop-off area. - If you printed out your baggage tags and boarding pass at home, your receipt number will be located on the Baggage Receipt page and on the confirmation email that was sent to you. Add the receipt number to the online form. You will receive a claim number once you have submitted your request. Keep your claim number close to track the status of your request. Please note that certain airports do not allow you to declare a missing baggage item online.
If you have not yet left your arrival airport, please go to the AIR FRANCE KLM* baggage office. Before you leave the airport, make sure to fill out a document called a Property Irregularity Report (PIR). You will receive a claim number after you have submitted your request. Keep your claim number close to track the status of your baggage search. * Or a representative.

In the "Find My" app on your Apple device, activate the "Lost Mode" for the device corresponding to your baggage and enter your contact details (phone number or email address).
Then, activate the "Share item location" function to generate an AirTag link.
We need your consent to use this data. You can give it to us when you declare your missing baggage (via our online form or at the baggage claim service at your destination airport).
Although location sharing automatically expires after 7 days, we recommend that you stop sharing it as soon as your baggage is returned to you.
Even if your baggage is equipped with a tracking device, such as an Apple AirTag™ or SmartTag, indicating that it is at the airport, it still must undergo certain processing stages before it can be handed to you.
Depending on custom formalities, the airport, and other internal processes, it can take some time between finding your baggage and delivering or collecting it.
We will inform you when your baggage is available. We ask that you refrain from collecting it until then.
Please remember to activate the lost mode on your tracking device. If you own an Apple AirTag™, you can share its location with us to help us with our search. Please also update your personal information. This will enable us to reach you more quickly if necessary.
